Artist statement
Feeling like driftwood throughout my nomadic life, one of the main themes of my art practice is about solving emergency crises in artistic expression, whether physically or emotionally with a fictitious approach.
My research questions how adulthood through art-making is an extension of the experience of play in childhood, and what does human survival mean with my understanding of oriental Chinese philosophy. I employ methods of scientific reasoning for coping strategies, such as areas of psychology and human engineering in the process of art making. As an outcome, I invent imagined survival tools for dystopian situations to illustrate the relationship between the mind and body when experiencing crisis and emergenciesLinks
