Sweat is a research effort into the dealings of investment funds on the Berlin real estate market. Through the use of legal loopholes centered around the so-called 'rent cap', scare tactics and cheap but environmentally dubious materials, investment funds are making enormous gains by driving up the rent and square-meter prices in the city.

At the same time these funds are undertaking enormous efforts to remain invisible to the public eye. By combining self-defending materials, misleading surfaces and inconspicuous texts, Sweat highlights different intentional and coincidental tactics and processes that work to camouflage the blunt intentions of a system bent on ever-increasing profits.
