'I am an artist working in painting, drawing, animation and spoken word. I have been exhibiting since graduating from Cardiff School of Art and Design in 2006. Following this I moved to London where I completed an MA at the Slade School of Fine Art before continuing to doctoral research at the Slade. My PhD research has focused on the Berlin Dadaist Hannah Höch and on the transformative potential of imagination through its relations with image, language and the body. This research includes the use of art to model and investigate ideas about imagination. It has led to the inclusion in my work of a range of forms and materials from large scale body paintings to small woodcuts. More lately my work has involved hand drawn and cut out animation as well as spoken word performance. For the future - more painting, more drawing, more animation, more writing'
