About the work
Children's photographs were digitized, printed out, and copied onto tin plates using a nitro solution. In the next step, the tin plates were treated with nitric acid. In the dark places of the photographs, where the light was absorbed by the photographed objects, the tin plate is acid-resistant due to the printing ink. This results in an inversion.
The tin plates were scanned. The digitized image is then printed out again.
