About the work
'Personal history, as explored through textiles, has been the main focus of research during my degree. Traditional materials and patterns provide focus on my own experience while simultaneously placing the works in a larger cultural conversation. Time becomes central the works as a direct result of the time-consuming creative process, but they also indirectly evoke a sense of timelessness and ephemera. Spanning the mediums of textiles, painting, sculpture, and installation, my work tends equally towards the personal and political.'
